Position Overview:

Regency is seeking highly motivated individuals for temp positions during 2016.  The Financial Aid   Processor temps will assist in processing financial aid applications including determining eligibility for Title IV financial aid programs, resolving conflicting information, making financial aid awards, and performing verification.  Ideal candidates will have the ability to analyze tax returns and other     financial documents and follow complex regulations to determine students’ eligibility.

Given the student service and support orientation of this role, it is essential that the individual in this role be able to work a regular and reliable schedule and be able to work overtime when necessary, in the discretion of management, to meet company needs.

Reports to: Financial Aid Supervisor

Compensation: $13-$15/hour depending on qualifications

Schedule: Temporary positions: Varied months, March through October, Full-time, general business hours with minimal evening hours required

Type: Full-time (35+ hours/week)

Experience required: Entry level

Location: Regency Headquarters, St. Louis Park, MN

Primary Responsibilities

  • Audit and review student’s financial aid applications to determine eligibility and to ensure completeness and compliance with federal, state, accreditation and institutional regulations
  • Analyze and complete federal verification process on selected financial aid applications
  • Monitor document collection, coordinate collection of missing documents, monitor incomplete student files and coordinate appropriate follow-up

Skills and experience required:

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple assignments, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to grasp complex federal regulations with training
  • High ethical standards
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Previous customer service skills preferred
  • Proficient with computers (Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to learn customized programs quickly)
